[He's not moving anytime soon, though a shudder runs through his limbs. The worst is over and done with, but he still needs a few hours before he can even think about standing.]

[There he goes with that sweetness thing again. Jove smiles and gives him a gentle hug, pleased she could do something to make him feel better.]

[The contact helps. It's surprising. He's dealt with this alone for so long that the idea of letting someone else be right here for even the tail end of an episode is absurd, but Jove is helping more than a dark room ever could.

He opens his eyes to look up at her.]

[She's a bit surprised he would ask, but not for the reason he probably expects.]

[He exhales, relaxing a little. He doesn't want to be alone, not anymore.]

I don't know. [He really doesn't. When he has his bad days, his mental state quickly follows and he's not too sure of anything.]

[She wasn't exaggerating when she said he was too far away for her to kiss, but she wishes he wasn't now. All she can do is tighten her arms around him protectively.]

I'd check on you every day and visit for as long as you could stand having me here. You can rely on me, Cullen, and it has nothing to do with me being your Inquisitor.

[There's that self-depreciating smile again.]

[He's quiet because he's a big weenie when it comes to things like this, or maybe he's just resting. Still, one of his hands finds hers to hold.]

[Either way it isn't a thing she'll press, not when he's already had a rough day. Possibly she wouldn't even on his best day, but that's neither here nor there.

She links their fingers and gives his hand a gentle squeeze, though.]

Do you think you might be up to eating something?

[He really doesn't want to wretch in front of her.]

The broth is quite mild and you really should try to eat something.

[She's just about positive he hasn't had anything at all to eat today.]

[She's right. And he's not one to argue right now.]

[And yet he hasn't moved. With a fond smile she runs her hand through his hair again.]

You'll have to let me up so I can get it for you.

That's not the way to get me up. [It's almost a groan, but he rolls off of her.]

[It's hardly even a foot of space, really, but even so she feels for him for having to move at all. Poor sick Commander.

She's careful as she helps him settle back, propping a pillow behind his head before she slips out of the bed.]

There's something you and Fenris have in common. You both thank me for doing things any decent person would do.

[It's really quite sad, in a way. She'd like to think there would be more people out there who help those who need help, but if it comes down to her and her alone there really isn't much she can do about it.

When she retrieves the broth she finds the container is still nice and warm, the perfect temperature to be soothing and still easy to eat. After removing the top, she comes back to him and holds the bowl out.]

Just try a sip to start and we'll go from there.

[His brow furrows as he reaches for the container, but the act of lifting his arms makes his hands tremble. Down they go before even touching her fingers.]
