[She laughs softly, giving him a gentle tug so he's more securely against her. She wouldn't have ever expected this side of Cullen, affectionate to the point of nearly smothering, but in a way she certainly doesn't mind.]

I'll stay until you've fallen asleep, then. After you have a bit more to eat.

One day we'll spend a night together under better circumstances.

[The words are murmured against her clothing.]

[And that is a surprising thing to hear, all things considered. If he were up to it she might tease him for saying something so suggestive, might prod him a little to find out exactly what he meant, but to do it now seems unfair. So instead, she goes back to gently sliding her fingers through his hair.]

Mm. It was nice. [Aside from the nightmares that caused it, of course. But he's at peace next to her, her smaller body against his, yet so much stronger than he could ever be.]

[She shifts a little, getting her other arm around him so she can rub her hand soothingly up and down his back.]

I do miss all of us living in the same space. It made things so much easier.

[And then, in a very rare show of vulnerability for the Inquisitor, Jove smiles sadly and leans her head against Cullen's.]

I just wished she remembered me.

[Cullen's hand is a little clammy, honestly, and not exactly steady yet, but he manages to brush his fingers along her jawline.]

She'll warm up to you, as she did before. I don't doubt that at all.

[The state of his doesn't matter in the slightest, not when his touch is meant to make her feel better.]

This just feels different than Solas and Cole not knowing me. Cassandra was with me from the very start, and I...

[But she trails off, because Cullen's hand is shaking and this is hardly the time to worry about her own feelings. Cassandra will come around in time because that's the kind of person she is, there's no point in worrying over it when her focus is better put to making sure Cullen is on his way to feeling better.]

Well, I suppose I'm just impatient. [She covers his hand with hers, squeezing it lightly as she gives him a smile.] Now let me up so you can have more broth.

[This is the most comfortable he's been in days, but he reluctantly lets her go, eyes entirely on her.]

It'll be all right.

It usually is. I tend to be lucky like that.

It's almost like some heavenly being has blessed me.

[Oops playful blasphemy. She leans away instead of bothering to get up again, stretching her arm out and grabbing for the bowl so she doesn't have to go that far this time. She's quite comfortable in bed with him, that's all.

Once she's got the bowl in hand, she brings it closer so she can help Cullen drink from it again.]

[Another small sip, but he's eager to rest his head against her. As soon as he's able, he does.]

[With a smile she manages to get the bowl on a flat surface again, but then Jove puts her arms around Cullen to hold him close.]

When we first met, I never would have expected you'd have this side to you.

[She pinches his arm very lightly as a form of admonishment for that.]

No, lethallin, not that side. The side that would want to cuddle so much.

It's comfortable in your arms. I don't feel this anywhere else.

Cullen...

[She never is quite sure what to do with him when he says those kinds of things. It's a little terrifying, being relied on in a way that has nothing to do with the mark on her hand. She still worries she isn't the one he remembers, the version of her he fell for, but it's impossible not to respond when he looks at her the way he does.

No more pinching, now. She hugs him as tightly as she dares without hurting him, hand finding its way back into his hair.]

There's no rush to leave them, then.

[She pulls him with her as she lays back down again, the entire plan of feeding him put on hold for the moment. Later should be fine, she can always use her magic to reheat the broth, and Cullen is far too sweet for his own good.]

I really shouldn't be letting you distract me from nursing you back to health, and yet here we are.
