[Cullen steps behind her quietly, hands carefully settling on her waist and lips brushing against her hair.]

[She tenses, just a little, because lately men coming up behind her hasn't tended to lead to the best things, but Cullen's hands are familiar now and when she turns to look and sees him, she relaxes and smiles at him.

No pulling away, not stopping him from leaving that sweet kiss against her hair. Just a smile and a gentle nudge with her shoulder.]

You're looking lovely today. [Even out of her element, she finds a way. He glances at her room before brushing her hair away from her neck, not even really giving the action much thought. ]

Why do I feel like you would say that even if I was covered in boils?

[Which isn't to take away from his sweetness, but it's hard to deny that Cullen thinks far more highly of her than he probably should.

When his fingers brush her neck, she turns her head to look up at him.]

Better. [Being near her always lifts his mood, makes him smile before he can catch himself.]

You do? [She sounds genuinely surprised for a second, but then it makes sense.] Well, I suppose you're not any more used to all the metal than I am.

And I'm feeling just fine. Why don't you sit? I'll make that tea for you.

[Is there a chair? Then he goes for that. If not, it's the edge of the bed.]

I do like nature, I'll have you know.

[It's the edge of the bed for him, because who even needs chairs. Her back is to him as she fills a cup with water, but she's smiling at his defense.]

I never said you didn't, but it's still a surprise to hear humans appreciate a space like this. I thought you all liked stone walls and statues of dogs.

Is there a problem with that? [He likes dogs :( even stone ones.]

Of course not. I'd have saved one of those statues of the halla from the Winter Palace if we didn't need them for those stupid doors.

[With the herbs added to the water, Jove turns back to Cullen so she can speak to him face to face, and slowly steam starts to rise from the cup. Hope you don't mind magically heated water, Cullen.]

I can give you a plant to take back to your ship, if you like.

[He doesn't even glance at the cup.]

Do you think you could part with one?

[It's a joke. Because she has a lot.]

I think I could manage. And if I start to miss it too much I can just come visit it on your ship.

It's not nearly this impressive. But, with a plant, I may have a start.

[By now the tea should be properly warmed, but Jove brings the cup up to test it first. It wouldn't do to give Cullen an improperly brewed cup of tea right?

But it seems to meet her standards, so she moves closer and hands the cup out.]

There you are. One anti-nausea cup of tea. I added in some normal tea leaves as well to improve the taste.

Thank you. [Cullen takes the cup with a smile, fingers brushing against hers as she does so.]

I'm glad you've made a comfortable place for yourself here.

[Once the cup is passed off, Jove sits beside him on the bed.]

I'll still always prefer whatever home we might happen to find on the planets we visit, but this is a good fall back. What about you, though? Are you getting more comfortable?

I think my crewmates and I are warming up to one another. It helps, now that Varric is awake.

It's funny how that works, isn't it? I don't know how he manages to calm things around him so well but he always has, it seems.

[She reaches out to touch the back of his hand lightly, giving it a gentle nudge upwards.]

You'll want to drink that before it gets cold, by the way. It's not at all good when it's cooled down.

[He smiles at her over the lip of the cup before taking a sip.

While lightly resting his hand on her knee, of course.]

[Of course. And she has a witty response to that, but it seems less important when he's decided to rest his hand on her leg.]

[But she looks a little surprised, and to avoid him taking that the wrong way she'll just mention the reason.]

I honestly was expecting you to blush and stammer. You've come a long way, Commander.

[He chuckles. His other hand would rub the back of his neck if he weren't holding a cup, so he just takes another sip.]

We're a little more comfortable with one another now, I think.

That's almost too bad, the blushing and stammering was my favorite part.
