[There's a third bouquet for Jove, one that shows up a few hours after Ino drops off the first two.

For someone so noisy and boisterous, Anders is remarkably private about tricky things the rest of us call friendship. That's why he doesn't go through Ino, or tell anyone else what he really means to do with the flowers he asked for, and instead just leaves them where he thinks Jove will find them on her ship.

There's a card, if it can be called that, a strip of heavy paper with an A written on it in slanted lines. What might make it distinctive, though, is that someone has doodled a small paw print in the corner.

Because it's from the both of them, you see.]

[She's just as surprised to get these flowers as she is the others, at first, but once Jove has time to really consider things Anders sending her flowers makes more sense than just about anyone else. His find a place near her bed, where she'll see them first thing when she wakes up, and then she sets about about thanking him with a text message.]

I think I owe you and the greatest feline of our age a thank you.

I'm certain I have no idea what you mean.

Uh huh.

Why didn't you stay so I could thank you properly?

I have to even the score somewhere. If you thanked me every time I thanked you I'd be in thank-debt forever.

You aware I'll likely continue to do nice things for you for the entirety of the time we're here together, aren't you? There is no evened score.

In that case, I'll just have to find more flowers, won't I?

You could mix it up a little, you know. Keep the spice alive.

Thanks to the Orlesians I've discovered I'm a big fan of chocolate and tiny cakes. Do with that information what you will.

Also, I happen to be quite fond of blonde mages with adorable kittens kept stashed in their clothing. Funny, that.

Speaking of adorable kittens: she's gotten very feisty. I can only assume it was your influence that did it.

ME? I hardly spend enough time with her to be a bad influence. It's your own fault for not bringing her around me to pick up more of my good habits.

You're her savior, her knight in shining armor! I'll bet she has you up on a tiny kitten pedestal and everything.

If I do arrange some extra visitation, do you promise not to be any less feisty?

[No oh Mythal save her Anders is too cute.]

This was just a big ploy to come see me, wasn't it?

I'll admit to nothing.

Come along then, and bring our girl so I can give her a big kiss.

All right, all right. Far be it from me to deny her face time with her hero.

But I'm watching you two. Be careful or I might start to get jealous.

Her hero? You might be blowing that a bit out of proportion.

I would never do anything of the sort.

When you see her you'll understand, trust me.

Alright, now you've got me desperately curious. Hurry over, will you?

I'm on my way now! Try to hold your excitement until then.

[And so he is. This will be his second visit to her ship in not much time at all, but that hardly matters. Open up, Mom, the kitten is here to see you.]

[dawnwillcome]

[She's waiting for him in a common area of the ship, so when Anders arrives she sees him right away. She expects the kitten is hidden in his robes somewhere, so when she approaches instead of a hug he gets her hand on his shoulder as she leans up to kiss his cheek.]

You've both been behaving yourselves, I trust?

[unconfines]

[She would be correct. The kitten is awake today, and meows indignantly when he gets the attention before she does, scrambling to pull herself out of his collar by her claws. She's bigger now, though not by much.

He grins against the kiss on his cheek.]

The two of us? Oh, never.

[dawnwillcome]

[She's gotta show she loves you somehow Anders, gosh. But once there's adorable mewing, Jove switches from kisses for Anders to kisses to the adorable kitten peeking out of his robes.

She lands one square in the middle of the Captain's head, and the goes straight to ear scratching.]

Wonderful, that's what I like to hear. I'd hate to think you've let yourselves get bored.

[unconfines]

Please. I couldn't last one second into being bored before I started causing trouble for someone somewhere, you know me.

[Captain Whitefluff the Terrible sets to purring almost immediately, bumping her tiny, fluffy head up into Jove's palm. It takes leverage against his collarbone to do, and he laughs when her tail smacks him on the chin.]

You see? She likes you much better than she likes me.
